Tampa Bay Saltwater - Ultra Live Sand (Special Order)

This listing is just for special orders we sometimes bring in if we get enough customer interest.  We can pick up a large order and distribute it to our local customers. 

TBS Live Sand contains beneficial bacteria. Many organisms not visible are found living within its layers.  These microscopic and megascopic organisms are vital components for cycling a new tank.  Natural bacteria help with denitrification, water clarity, ammonia break down, disposal of detritus and uneaten foods.  These unseen life forms are of extreme importance for a healthy aquarium.

The grain size is conducive to deep sand beds due to the irregularity of shapes and sizes. It is an excellent choice for tanks with high flow, as it is not easily blown around like finer grained sand.

Jawfish, gobies and wrasses will appreciate TBS Live Sand’s texture when creating burrows for living and sleeping. Sand sifting starfish, nassarius and cerith snails will live under the sand. Long tentacle anemones will bury through it.
