Favorite Things: Rocky reef aquariums with plenty of crevices and strong water movement. A powerful algae grazer that keeps live rock clean by scraping microalgae, coralline buildup, and film algae. Prefers mature systems with established biofilm and natural grazing surfaces.
Best Buddies: Completely reef-safe with corals, snails, and hermits, though it may occasionally rearrange unsecured frags or small rocks while grazing. Avoid large predatory fish (triggers, puffers) that may nip at its spines.
