Favorite Things: Densely planted freshwater aquariums with mosses, driftwood, and plenty of biofilm. Thrives in stable, clean water with gentle flow. Feeds on algae, leftover food, and detritus—excellent natural scavengers and cleaners. Supplement diet with shrimp pellets or blanched veggies for optimal health and color.
Best Buddies: Peaceful community fish that won’t harass small invertebrates, such as rasboras, snails, and small tetras. Avoid larger or predatory tankmates like cichlids and bettas.
