Favorite Things: Spacious, well-filtered aquariums with open swimming areas and planted sections. Males develop vivid blue front halves and bright orange-yellow tails, especially under good lighting. Active schooling fish that thrive on a mixed diet of high-quality flakes, spirulina pellets, and frozen or live brine shrimp. Keep in groups of 6 or more for best color and natural behavior.
Best Buddies: Excellent with peaceful community fish like tetras, gouramis, barbs, and corydoras. Avoid slow-moving long-finned fish or aggressive species.
