Maximum Length: About 2.5–3 inches
Favorite Things: Active schooling aquariums with plenty of swimming space and a fine gravel or sand substrate. Feeds readily on high-quality flakes, pellets, frozen daphnia and brine shrimp. Males show bright red fins and a metallic sheen.
Best Buddies: Best kept in groups of 6 or more in community tanks with other active fish like danios, rasboras, and tetras. They may nip at long-finned or slow tankmates, so avoid mixing with fancy guppies or bettas.
