Scientific Name: Carassius auratus
Maximum Length: About 6–8"+ (can get larger with great care)
Favorite Things: Cooler, clean water with strong filtration, lots of swimming room, and a steady diet of quality goldfish pellets plus veggies (peas, gel foods). The telescope eyes make them slower, more “bumble-y” swimmers—so they do best with calm tankmates and minimal sharp décor.
Best Buddies: Other fancy goldfish (fantails, ranchu, oranda, ryukin). Avoid fast single-tails (comets/shubunkins) that outcompete them for food, and avoid fin-nippers.
