Maximum Length: About 5–6 inches
Favorite Things: Established reef aquariums with abundant live rock, natural microfauna, and plenty of swimming space. This unique wrasse is known for its elongated “tubelip” mouth and striking yellow back contrasted against a darker body. It feeds best on a varied diet of frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality prepared foods once acclimated.
Best Buddies: Peaceful with most reef-safe fish including tangs, angels, gobies, and fairy wrasses. Avoid aggressive wrasses or highly territorial fish. Reef-safe with corals and invertebrates.
