Favorite Things: Big reef or FOWLR tanks with plenty of rockwork to graze on. The Double Bar Rabbitfish is known for its two dark vertical facial bars, calm temperament, and fantastic algae-eating ability. They are sturdy, active grazers that quickly adjust to captivity. They thrive on seaweed sheets, spirulina pellets, and herbivore blends—keeping them well-fed helps prevent any coral-nipping behavior.
Best Buddies: Great with tangs, wrasses, clowns, gobies, anthias, angels, and other non-aggressive marine fish. Usually reef-safe with caution. Use care when handling—dorsal and anal spines are venomous.
