Exquisite Wrasse – Male/Female Pair
Scientific Name: Cirrhilabrus exquisitus
Region: Central Pacific
Maximum Length: About 4–5 inches
Description:
Exquisite Wrasses are graceful, active fairy wrasses prized for their color-shifting hues and constant motion. Central Pacific specimens typically show greens, violets, yellow highlights, and blue facial markings, with males displaying far bolder contrast and more elaborate finnage.
A male–female pair creates natural behavior and more intense male coloration, as males display more beautifully when a female is present. Both adapt easily to captivity and eat pellets, frozen mysis, brine, calanus, and plankton blends.
Best Buddies: Excellent for peaceful reef tanks with tangs, clowns, gobies, anthias, fairy wrasses, and dartfish. Completely reef-safe. Needs a tight lid—fairy wrasses are known jumpers.
