The Lemon Tetra is a classic and underappreciated schooling fish from the Amazon basin, displaying a soft translucent yellow body accented by vivid lemon-yellow dorsal and anal fins with bold black edging. Their subtle coloration becomes especially vibrant in well-planted aquariums with dark substrate and soft, slightly acidic water. A peaceful and active schooling fish, they are best kept in groups of six or more where their synchronized movement creates a beautiful, shimmering display.
