Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse

Name: Cleaner Wrasse (Blue Streak)
Scientific Name: Labroides dimidiatus
Maximum Length: About 5 inches
Favorite Things: Active reef aquariums with lots of rockwork and frequent, small meaty feedings (mysis, enriched brine, finely chopped seafood). Famous for setting up “cleaning stations” and picking parasites and dead tissue from other fish. Captive-bred specimens adapt best and are far more sustainable.
Best Buddies: Peaceful reef fish such as tangs, clowns, gobies, and other wrasses. Avoid aggressive tankmates and do not rely on them to “cure ich” — they are cleaners, not a medical solution.
