Favorite Things: Large reef aquariums with strong water movement, high oxygenation, and plenty of open swimming space. Known for its electric blue body, jet-black face mask, and bright yellow dorsal fin. Requires excellent water quality and a diet rich in marine algae, nori, spirulina flakes, and frozen foods to maintain color and immune health.
Best Buddies: Best kept with other peaceful to semi-aggressive reef fish in larger systems. Avoid mixing with similarly shaped or aggressive tangs unless the tank is very large. Reef-safe with corals but may nip at macroalgae.
