Favorite Things: Open swimming space, strong water flow, and plenty of live rock to graze on. Feeds primarily on algae—supplement with nori, spirulina flakes, and quality herbivore pellets. Prefers stable, well-oxygenated reef environments and thrives in mature tanks of at least 100 gallons.
Best Buddies: Peaceful community reef fish such as wrasses, clowns, gobies, and blennies. Avoid mixing with other tangs of similar shape (especially Acanthurus species) in smaller systems to prevent aggression.
