Favorite Things: Mature reef aquariums with plenty of live rock, copepods, amphipods, and natural microfauna. The Spotted Mandarin (also called the “Psychedelic Mandarin”) shows swirling green, blue, orange, and teal spots—one of the most colorful reef fish available. Does best with abundant pods or regular feedings of enriched frozen foods such as Nutramar Ova, finely chopped mysis, and copepod cultures.
Best Buddies: Completely reef-safe and peaceful. Great with gobies, clowns, blennies, cardinals, and firefish. Avoid aggressive wrasses or large predators that may outcompete or harass them.
